How long do I need to wait after laser eye surgery to take a bath or shower?
Although your surgeon will give you specifics on when it’s safe for you to take a bath or shower, the general guideline is that a person should not do either for at least two days after surgery.
Can I drive after laser eye surgery?
It doesn’t matter what kind of laser eye surgery you have performed, you will not be able to drive afterwards! Make sure someone drives you to the appointment that can also drive you home, so you get home from your appointment safely!
When can I start wearing eye makeup after laser eye surgery?
No eye makeup of any kind should be worn for at least two weeks following laser eye surgery.
How long do I have to wait before I can swim after surgery?
Usually, it’s recommended that you wait for at least one week after surgery before swimming.
Can I see the surgery being performed?
Although you will be awake for the surgery, you won’t actually be able to see the details of the surgery. What you’ll mostly see are a lot of very bright lights, but any objects are going to be blurred and will seem out of focus.
When can I go back to work after laser eye surgery?
Most patients feel well enough to go back to work the day following laser eye surgery.
